One of the initiatives of this program is to improve school climate, as well as be a game changer for the City of Peoria. With all of the reported youth issues in the City, we can use Lights On, Peoria as a village approach to strengthen and encourage our youth. You and your student(s) are critical to the success of the Lights On, Peoria initiative.
Programming will occur on specified Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30 – 9:30pm – alternating weekends between Peoria High School and Manual High School. Students will be provided dinner at this event.
In order to help us plan for this program, we are asking that every parent register their student(s) every available weekend for this event. For help with registration, please contact school staff. Students participating will need to have been registered and have their Manual or Peoria High student I.D. for check in.
At the moment, this is only exclusive to Manual and Peoria High students. Students only participate at the Lights On, Peoria weekend event in the school in which they attend.
Lights On, Peoria will resume for the 2022-2023 school year in August 2022. Dates for the weekends will be shared when school resumes.
